Horrible lastminute.com

I've just got the worst experience in my entire life with "last minute"!

No other services were so poor and non-professional and representative+supervisor were so ignorant! They sent me email two days prior the trip (international destination) that the reservation was canceled without any apparent reason! Honestly, neither the rep nor the supervisor did explain me what was the reason....

They claimed that they called me, but it's far from truth as I did not receive any voicemail. They started giving some other stupid excuse saying my bank was closed on the weekend! My bank - TD - is the only one that actually is open 7 DAYS a WEEK! And there is always a representative who will assist you on the phone even during the weekend! So what they say it's B.S. And lie!!!! (25/07/11)

Bad press takes toll on Lastminute

Lastminute.com shares had their wings clipped yesterday after the BBC's Watchdog programme reported a clutch of complaints from disgruntled customers of the online holiday company.

The shares, which had surged from a 77p low in March to as high as 315.25p this month, slid 10.25 to 300p as investors reacted negatively to Wednesday night's programme.

In one instance a woman and her partner had their romantic trip to New York ruined when they arrived at the airport to be told their flight had been cancelled and that they were booked on an earlier flight. Lastminute.com had failed to warn them.

Martha Lane Fox, managing director, had appeared on the programme in January promising that similar complaints from viewers who had experienced double-charging, and tickets and hotels not being booked, would be made "isolated incidents". (20 Nov 2003)

"Isolated incidents"?!! Ha ha ha!

I have now missed the flight I wanted

I tried to book a flight to Bangkok to take my family away for the easter holidays with this company i was just about to confirm everything and it said there was a problem with the details please phone the company to resolve this issue, the number was premium rate of course they could'nt speak proper English and they told me i had to wait 2 hours to see if the flight was going to be confirmed to which i said forget it i cant wait 2 hours i want my money back and i'll book it with a different company to which they told me it would take up to 48 hours for the money to be returned to my bank and i said you just told me you had'nt taken any money off me so how can it take 48 hours to put my money back in the bank i asked to speak to the manager who just told me the same rubbish. I phoned my credit card company and they told me it will take up to 10 days for the money to get back i have now missed the flight i wanted. (18th Feb 2011)

Connection failed mid-way through, so I booked again. Now I've been charged twice

I recently used lastminute.com to book a double room at The Clifton Hotel, Scarborough, part of the English Rose Hotels group. The internet connection failed before the transaction was completed, so I used the same website to rebook. When I arrived at the hotel check-in the next day, staff told me I had booked two double rooms. I said that, so far as I knew, I'd only booked one, and only needed one. No more was said. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY!!!!

Please NEVER EVER EVER use this service!

Lastminute overbooked the particular hotel we booked into by SIX bookings. That means that six different bookings including us arrived to check in to our hotel only to be told there was no available room leaving us with NO WHERE to stay in London upon arrival. To add the worst insult to injury after multiple attempts at contacting any representative of the company they refuse to be in touch and to honor the refund they promised when initially dealing with the overbooking.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY!!!! Do NOT give them your money. (11/05/2011)

High Street Max Scam

The offer of a £10 online shopping voucher looked too good to be true.

So Caroline Ingman, buying theatre tickets through lastminute.com, decided not to accept the offer.

But almost a year later she noticed regular monthly payments being taken from one of her credit cards by a company called HighStreetMax. (July 10, 2008)

How many thousands have been ripped off by lastminuite.com?

As this is all automated I wonder how long this scam has been going on by Lastminute.com and how many thousands have been ripped off by lastminuite.com?

I have NEVER heard before of ANY company allowing you to get to the payment stage and then they insist you call them and then inflate the agreed price by over 50%!

As it has been an "ongoing error for a long long time" he said, obviously the scam lastminute.com has been operating has been going on I suspect since it was founded well over a decade ago.

I know know why they are called lastminute.com as they think it acceptable to inflate prices AT THE LAST MINUTE by over 50% as you are paying for your order!!! (08-07-2009)
